Smile Everyone! It's Christmas Eve!

The morning began very early for Dad and Kyle as they headed out about 4 am for Vegas to put Kyle on the plane headed for Oregon. Christmas with the other family this year should be fun after a couple of years.

Meanwhile.....here at the den:

Alex was up EARLY this morning cleaning the bedroom. When I woke up he was already hard at work. "Whatcha doin bud?" I asked. "I'm cleaning the bedroom now that Kyle's gone so that I can enjoy it for awhile." (for those of you who don't know.....Alex is very neat and tidy and a perfectionist while big brother is TOTAL opposite!!) Sometimes the 2 opposites COLLIDE like a plane into a large building!! You could see the relief in the boys face all day as he get's a much needed break from big bro. It's painful to think of it but maybe it's possible that all brothers feel that way? He even went as far as switching the bedding around so that he could "king" the bottom bunk for once. "Enjoy it while you can bud....he'll be back soon enough."

The suspense is killing big sis! This is one of the multiple times she's been caught trying to guess what's under there. "Hold out juuuust a little longer...Only one more day to go!"

Aunt Delee called this morning and big sis answered. It was a looong conversation between two ladies. She turned on the "speaker" and conversed like a pro.

She enjoyed looking through some scrapbook pages that I've done. It's always so fun to watch and listen to the kids as they view old photos of each other.

They really enjoyed their surprise treat tonight after dinner! Rootbeer Floats! Yummy!

After family prayer and a neat story, they were less than willing to get to bed.
As you can see from my foot there in the picture, the place they wanted to be was next to me. Perhaps they thought I'd protect them from the wrath of daddy. lol

As the children are nestled all snug in their beds in hopes that Saint Santa soon will be here. Daddy begins his labor for the evening.

Smile everyone! It's Christmas Eve!
