A couple of week-ends ago we went to the lake with our good pals for a 4 wheelin sandy wet eatin grand time!! As you can see in the backround we had to share the beach and sun with some other die hards. It was ok though because everyone just minded their own and we had plenty of beach to ourselves. There were plenty of boaters there too.
You can't see it very close but check out that floating little tent in the middle there. We noticed a small child contained inside chilling in the water. They had tied it to their boat so that it wouldn't float away. What a great idea. Who said ya can't take your little ones to the beach cause they'll spoil all the fun?
Of course we couldn't go to "Sand Hollow" without taking the 4 Wheelers along. On the other side of the road you'll find the endless sand dunes. If you're a regular viewer of our blog, then you know what I'm talking about. We've been here before! After we all took a jont through the sand, it was time to eat and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the water and the beach.
Jerid was our official "Cook". He got the 'dogs' on while we all waited anxiously to eat em!
Look at all that grub. Although upon arriving home, we noticed hints of sand in the left-overs. I suppose it's great for a little protein. However.... next time we'll be sure to grab a table and be more prepared for our surroundings! lol
Speaking of "prepared" or lack thereof..........
We thought that burgers would be yummy to go along with the dogs. I seasoned and prepared some patties before we left. In our haste we forgot the most important thing. A spatula! So we improvised. The guys cut up a soda can and managed to make a spatula the same size as the burgers but with no handle. Hmmm. Jerid and Leo took turns being the "flipper". They managed to get the job done but believe me, there was a lot of "OOOW! AAAWE! OUCH! and $#%&! lol It was worth it......they were YUMMY!
Bay got comfy while she enjoyed her hotdog.

Later in the day, these cool guys showed up and parked near us. I couldn't help but snap a picture of this studly fella with that giant tatoo.

He must have felt like he was being watched when he turned around. Really though, I was just wondering when they were gonna pass us some beers!
Toot found wave jumping to be soo much fun!
The little girls thought that building in the sand was pretty fun.

Bay found some twigs to add to her tower of sand.
The boys enjoyed some 4 wheelin action too.
Now that Kyle's tried Jerid's 4 wheeler, he's convinced he needs to get one. He's pretty good on that thing.
We didn't hear any complaints from Al. He loved it!
Finally we adults got to go for a ride while Kyle watched all the kids. Here's Leo and Jerid racing a kid that was there.
I'm guessing that Moses would have been jazzed to have a 4 wheeler!
He'll take on any punk on a 4 wheeler! For he is king!
Leo raced this guy a few times. I won't tell ya about the one time on his way down getting ready to race again when he was feeling a little un-inhibited and let go of the handle bars, threw his hands in the air, and yelled "Ya Hoo!" as the 4 wheeler took charge and almost crashed and hurled him into a giant bush.
And last but not least I had to share a few pics of the beautiful scenery......

All this beauty speaks for itself.
