Here's a little taste of what the heck we've been up to lately. I love the sound of the Native American Wooden Flute. So you can imagine my intrigue upon hearing about the Art and Flute Festival, right in my own area. My best friend and I decided that it would be WAY FUN to go enjoy the sweet sound so we loaded up the kids and headed for the hills. Here is Jake and Lane eager to check out the festivities.

This here genteeel-lady was one of the many flute vendors on site. She and her husband make these flutes themselves. She played us a lovely little melody. This particular flute sells for the basement bottom price of just $6500. Needless to say, we had fun looking.

The kids got to test out some war drums that were being built on site. We let them play for quite a while and they successfully vacated half the vendors in the vicinity.

We managed to find a tiny sliver of shade to sit in while we listened to the flute performers. They were awesome!

Here's a sample of the variety of people we were in company with. It was lots of fun, and quite the cultural experience. If we would've planned it better we DEFINITELY would have gone to the night concert, but maybe next year.
